High-quality equipment from Schutt (Been around since 1918) We will be using the Schutt Vengeance A11+ helmet which is one of the most common helmets at the pro and collegiate levels. This type of helmet costs more than most youth helmets but is definitely worth it.

Our coaches have been trained in properly fitting equipment.  Time will be taken to make proper measurements and adjustments.  Safety is our priority

We will teach  Hawk Tacklinga Rugby style tackle used by the Seattle Seahawks. The Rugby tackle has NEVER included the head, and rugby players play without helmets and facemasks. The key is to 1) use the shoulder, and 2) keep the head outside the tackle.

Our coaches will be trained in concussion protocols. First aid, CPR, coaching youth football, and appropriate skills and techniques for young athletes.  We will also instruct our players and parents on concussions as well as provide them with recommended protocols.

Limited contact in practice once the season starts. The athletes will develop skills through the use of tackling dummies and walk-throughs. Full contact will be minimized during practices in order to minimize the risk of injury. This technique is consistently used by NFL, College, and High School teams.

Each of our helmets will be fitted with the Tozuda Impact Indicator. It allows for quick determination of the concussive impact of a collision. It should be noted that collisions occur in every sport and the majority of concussions in youth football is due to poorly fitting equipment and during the process of tackling. We have addressed both these situations in our safety protocols. If you would like to learn more about the senor please go to: https://www.tozuda.com
